Best MCP Servers for Marketing and Ads in 2026

Best MCP Servers for Marketing and Ads in 2026

The best MCP servers for marketing and ads fall into three groups: free official servers from Google and Meta, four paid third-party connectors (AdKit, Pipeboard, Markifact, Adspirer), and Agency AI's analysis-only connector for Shopify stores. The pick turns on one question: should your AI read your ad data, or be able to change it?

Every capability and price comes from the vendor's own pages, opened August 10, 2026. Anything a company says about itself is labeled as its claim.

What Is an MCP Server?

"MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open-source standard for connecting AI applications to external systems." That is the official definition at modelcontextprotocol.io, whose docs add: "Think of MCP like a USB-C port for AI applications."

Anthropic released the Model Context Protocol on November 25, 2024. A marketing MCP server is that USB-C port wired into your ad accounts: ask Claude or ChatGPT about spend, ROAS or creative, and the server fetches live answers.

Two pricing cells describe a model rather than a number. The Markifact and Adspirer sections explain why.

Which MCP Servers Can Change Your Campaigns?

Five of the seven can write: Meta's official server plus AdKit, Pipeboard, Markifact and Adspirer, with all four third parties gating every change behind human approval. Google's official server is read-only. Agency AI's MCP is analysis-only by design.

An ads MCP with write access is an agent with hands. A read-only server can never surprise you; the worst it does is give bad advice. Most rankings for this query are vendor-written and blur exactly this line.

What Google and Meta Ship Themselves

Google's Ads API MCP Server, Read-Only by Design

Google open-sourced its Google Ads API MCP server on October 7, 2025. Its documentation is blunt: "This implementation is strictly read-only. It cannot modify bids, pause campaigns, or create new assets."

It exposes three tools: account listing, GAQL queries for metrics and budgets, and resource metadata. Setup is the catch: a developer token, a Google Cloud project ID, OAuth credentials, and self-hosting. Reporting plumbing for technical teams, not a consumer product.

Meta's Ads AI Connectors, Write Access Included

Meta's Ads AI Connectors, an MCP server at mcp.facebook.com/ads plus a CLI, launched in open beta on April 29, 2026 and are write-capable: campaign creation and editing in natural language, plus reporting and catalog management, per Meta's announcement.

A July 16, 2026 update added rules governing "what AI agents can do on their ad account, from budget changes to catalog updates." Authentication is Meta's standard OAuth login, no developer credentials, and the beta is free with no pricing disclosed for after.

> Watch out: Meta's is the only server here that writes to live campaigns without a third-party draft layer. Set its rules before you connect an agent, not after.

The Third-Party Write-Capable Servers

All four can execute changes, and all four hold them for your approval first.

1. AdKit

AdKit calls itself "the ads toolbox for marketers & AI agents" and covers Meta, Google, TikTok, Reddit, LinkedIn, X and Microsoft Ads through one MCP server plus a CLI. Writes are drafts by default: campaigns sit in AdKit's dashboard until you click approve, per its feature page.

Pricing per its own site is $29 a month for one project, against a $49 list rate, and $49 for multiple projects, with a 7 day trial. We put it head to head with this field in our AdKit alternatives comparison.

2. Pipeboard

Pipeboard pitches itself as "a universal adapter between your advertising platforms and AI," spanning Meta, Google, TikTok, Snap and Reddit Ads plus Google Merchant Center and Google Analytics. It exposes 120+ write tools, and new campaigns are created paused by default so nothing spends until you approve, per its homepage.

Per its pricing page, a free tier covers 30 weekly executions, Pro is $29.90 a month unlimited, and Premium is $99 with 10 account slots, extra slots $10 each. Its top-tier Meta Business Partner status is its own claim.

3. Markifact

Markifact is the breadth play. Its GitHub repo lists 500+ operations across ten paid media platforms, analytics tools like GA4 and BigQuery, and CRM channels from Shopify to Klaviyo, with one OAuth working across Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Gemini and Windsurf.

The repo is explicit on gating: every write needs user approval, and "Nothing goes live without you saying yes." On price, the verifiable facts are a free tier and paid plans from a Starter tier; its pricing pages would not load for us, so no number gets printed here.

4. Adspirer

Adspirer plans, builds, monitors and improves campaigns across six platforms, including Amazon Ads and ChatGPT Ads. "Every high-impact change stays yours to approve," per its site, and new campaigns arrive paused for review.

Pricing is the durable fact: you pay per task, "never a percentage of your ad spend," per its pricing page. A free tier carries a small task allowance, then metered tiers raise it. Its listed dollar prices shift between checks, so we quote the model, not numbers.

The Analysis-Only Route: Agency AI

Agency AI comes at this from the store side. Its MCP connects your AI to your ad performance in the context of a Shopify store, riding on an app that already manages Meta and Google campaigns from inside Shopify admin. The App Store listing frames it plainly: "Connect Claude or ChatGPT via MCP for instant ad analysis and strategy advice."

In the founder's recorded demo sessions, the connector exposes four tools: Get campaigns, Get ads, Get ad creative and Get recommendations. Output is analysis plus "Action:" recommendation lines. There is no execution surface: nothing here can create, pause or edit a live campaign. You act on what it finds, or the Agency AI app does through its own approval-gated dashboard flow.

Setup is pasting s.agencyai.app/mcp as a custom connector, which the company says works with Claude on the Max plan and ChatGPT on Business, Enterprise or Edu workspaces; other vendors set their own gates. There is no separate MCP fee: the connector ships with the $59 a month app after a 30 day trial, per its App Store listing.

Our guide to connecting Claude to your Meta and Google Ads accounts walks through the flow.

Final Thoughts

The best MCP servers for marketing are three different purchases. Meta's beta buys free execution inside its own walls; Google's buys free reporting if you have a developer handy. AdKit and Pipeboard buy multi-platform control with an approval net, Markifact the widest operation catalog, Adspirer a task-metered version of the same idea. Agency AI buys store-aware analysis, the only option here that deliberately cannot touch a live campaign.

Decide the read or write question first. The shortlist builds itself.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an MCP server for marketing?
A connector built on the Model Context Protocol, Anthropic's open standard from November 2024, that links an AI assistant to systems like ad accounts. You ask about spend, ROAS or creative in plain English and get answers from live data.
Are the official Meta and Google Ads MCP servers free?
Yes, for now. Meta's connectors are free during the open beta that began in April 2026, with no post-beta pricing announced. Google's is open source and free, self-hosted with your own developer token and Google Cloud project.
Can an MCP server change my ads without me approving it?
The third-party servers say no: AdKit drafts changes, Pipeboard and Adspirer create new campaigns paused, Markifact requires approval per write. Google's server cannot write at all and Agency AI's is analysis-only. Meta's official server does write to live accounts, under rules you set.
Do I need a paid Claude or ChatGPT plan to use a marketing MCP?
The connector runs inside your own AI subscription, which has its own tier rules. Agency AI states its MCP works with Claude on the Max plan and ChatGPT on Business, Enterprise or Edu workspaces. Each vendor publishes its own requirements.
