How to Connect Claude to Google Ads and Meta Ads Accounts

How to Connect Claude to Google Ads and Meta Through Agency AI

Most Claude MCP setups start with a config file, a server URL, or an API key. This one starts with a search box. Agency AI's guide describes the integration as "an approved connector in Claude's directory" with "nothing to configure."

1. Open Claude and click the "+" button in the message box, then click Connectors. In settings, the same screen is Customize > Connectors; its "+" button also offers "Add custom connector" for manual remote MCP URLs, which you will not need here.

2. Click "Browse connectors" and search for Agency AI.

How to Add the Connector in ChatGPT

ChatGPT has no directory listing for Agency AI. Here you paste the URL yourself.

1. Open ChatGPT Settings > Connectors.

2. Click "Add custom connector."

3. Enter the name Agency AI and the URL https://s.agencyai.app/mcp.

4. Authorize through OAuth by signing in to your Agency AI account and approving access.

5. Enable the connector for the conversation you are working in.

Watch out: If "Add custom connector" is missing, that is permissions, not a bug. Agency AI's guide says to ask your workspace admin, or enable Developer Mode under Settings if your plan requires it. Per OpenAI's docs, Business admins manage it at Workspace Settings > Permissions & Roles > Connected Data; Enterprise and Edu admins can grant developer mode to specific members.

Agency AI also says campaign actions such as launching and pausing ads from ChatGPT are "rolling out soon." Roadmap language, not a live feature: today ChatGPT gets analysis, same as Claude.

What the Connector Can and Cannot Do

Agency AI documents its own limits plainly. From its knowledge base: "The connector is read-only. Claude can analyze your data and recommend moves, but it cannot launch, edit, or pause campaigns.

All changes happen in your Agency AI dashboard." The live product page repeats this and adds that when write actions arrive, "you will turn them on yourself."

What it sees, per the same page: campaigns, ad sets, ads, creatives, spend, and results from the connected ad accounts, plus your store's sales data. The company states it never sees your customer list, and it reads nothing until you approve access.

Inside the dashboard, the separate AI Strategist chat can propose Meta changes that wait as pending actions for your approve or decline, and Meta recommendation cards are review or dismiss only. The connector is stricter: analysis and recommendations only, no execution surface. Nothing applies changes on its own.
